About Us

Wollaston & Strixton Pre-School opened in 1965. Since 2011 our home has been the purpose-built Wollaston Association of Youth Building (WAY) located in the grounds of Wollaston Primary School.

We operate both our Pre-School and the Sunrise & Sunset Breakfast & Afterschool Club for children aged between 2 and 11 years.

Our children enjoy excellent facilities in a safe environment and are provided with extensive outdoor play areas. Our team of staff are very experienced and committed to supporting the children and their families. It is important to us that your child is happy and secure whilst making good progress in their time at Pre-School. We have excellent links with our local community, including the local schools, Health Visitors and SaLT Teams.

We are pleased to welcome children to our Pre-School who have reached the age of 24 months (2 years).

To add your child to the waiting list, there is a £25 registration fee which is payable when registering your child.  

Session Times and Fees

We run our Pre-School sessions from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 2.00pm during term time with wrap around care from 7.30am to 6.00pm.

As we are registered with Ofsted we are able to offer funded places to eligible children. We offer 2-year funding, 3 and 4-year-old funding and 30 hours funding.

From April 2024 the fees for all children will be £30.00 per preschool session. These are payable termly and in advance. Please see our Fees policy.

7.30am to 9.00am – Breakfast of cereal and/or toast will be provided – drop off anytime between 7.30am and 9.00am. £6.75

8.00am to 9.00am - Drop off after 8.00am £5.50

2.00pm to 3.30pm – Snack will be provided – pick up at 3.30pm. £8.50

2.00pm to 5.00pm – Snack will be provided – pick up anytime between 3.30pm and 5.00pm. £13.00

* Any 30-hour funding not used between normal Pre-School hours of 9.00am to 2.00pm may be used to help with costs if it is a regular booking. Funding is applied for each term before it starts so this needs to be agreed before the beginning of each new term. *

Sessions will need to be paid for in advance through our bank, with your child’s name as a reference.
